Who is invited to participate?
PhD students and young researchers working in geosciences, who are interested in using observational data more efficiently for modeling purposes. Note: Deadline for application was 17 January 2010 and the list of particpants is finalized - it is not possible to apply anymore.
What will be provided for you?
- Lodging in one appartment of the Apparthotel am Schlossberg for five nights from Sunday until Friday. The appartments consist a lounge with a kitchenette, a bathroom and up to four bedrooms. Groups of participants will share one apparement, but everbody has an individual bedroom.
- Full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee breaks) from Monday morning until Friday noon. Beverage fur lunch and dinner is not included.
- A temporary license for Matlab, which is needed for the pratical exercises.
- Beautiful surrounding in the National Park Saxon Switzerland (for more details, see "Venue")
What is expected from you?
- Interest - the spring school thrives on your enthusiam and your ideas.
- Full time - participants are expected to join the spring school from Monday until Friday noon.
- Laptop - please, take your laptop along with you to perfom the pratical exercises.
- Preparation - please, prepare a poster about your research topic to familiarize the others with your perspectives! Some weeks before the workshop, we will provide you with the software for the spring school. Please, go through the material before the spring school starts.
